Gypsy Carns - Acoustic & Electric Guitars, Dobros, Bass, Harmonica, all percussion. Wrote all the songs and co-produced.
This record is a departure from my normal Spiritual lyrical content. The LORD led me on a transcendental, instrumental blues journey this time around This time we sought out a rural studio in our home town area and found that in Porterville, Mississippi. Nestled on thousands of acres of prime Mississippi timberland is Stump Whipped Studios. Mississippi Chris Sharp engineered and co-produced this record with me. I decided to play all the instruments, so this truly is a Gypsy Solo adventure. We hope you enjoy it!

Carns Family Classics
This record is a collection of songs never before posted on this website. These are personal songs Gypsy has written for various members of his family. Wife Caroline, dogs Jake, Lily Ann,& She-Bear, cats Koko and Dusty, his daughter Jacinda and Grand-daughter Kirra, Caroline's father Michael Argyle showcasing his fights in World War II with "The Gothic Line". The recording quality is demo style but the sentiment is there. All the way back to 1992 when Gypsy first met Caroline - "Virgin Dancer" - until 2012 when he recorded "Caroline Victoria." After 20 years the fire burns strong for this unique family!

The Watchman
Malachi 4:5: “Behold, I will send you Elijah the prophet before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the LORD." Luke 1:17 – “He will also go before Him in the spirit and power of Elijah, ‘to turn the hearts of the father’s to the children,’ and the disobedient to the wisdom of the just, to make ready a people prepared for the Lord.”
Gospel Train Coming
Thanks to all the Blues Preachers who did not follow the path, but blazed a new trail for the Kingdom of God and Jesus Christ. This record is intended to pay homage to the Masters and their families. Musicians like Blind Willie Johnson, Rev. Gary Davis, Son House, Charley Patton, Rev. Pearly Brown, Blind Willie McTell, Rev. Edward W. Clayborn, Rev. JM Gates, Blind Lemon Jefferson, Blind Willie Davis, Skip James and the new breed of Blues Preachers like the master bluesman for Christ Glen Kaiser, Darrell Mansfield, Jimmie Bratcher, KM Williams, Steve Counsel and many, many more. My interpretation of the lyrics aren't perfect by any means and every chord is not exact - but the heartfelt passion - the desire to praise God in song - manifests itself in every track… Grace and Glory to YHWH in the Highest. PSALM 96: 1-3: Oh, sing to the LORD a new song! Sing to the LORD, all the earth. Sing to the LORD, bless His name; proclaim the good news of His salvation from day to day. Declare His glory among the nations, His wonders among all peoples.
G2C
Gypsy Carns all instruments. Produced and engineered by Tabby Crabb for Flatwood Studios.
G2C or General Gypsy Carns recorded both tracks for this 2005 release. Each song was written after a visionquest where he experienced the events that are stated. Gypsy's ministry is centered around end times and the Jewish call to repentance to accept Yeshua as the Messiah or accept the impending wrath of His Father YHWH. The KEYS
Sam "Electro" Hankins - Lead vocals & guitar
1. | I Want You Back Again | Sam "Electro" Hankins - Lead vocals & guitar | ||||
2. | Soldier Of Love | Sam "Electro" Hankins - Lead vocals & guitar |
The KEYS were a college party band that recorded one single that had decent airplay in the South. This band had an incredible Live Show with costume changes every set - featuring an hour long non-stop '60's medley.
Smashers
Smashers appeared on the New Wave scene in the late 70's and early 80's. The band consisted of the principal writer Victor Lovera; the brother and sister team of Fagan and Virginia Arouh and bass player/vocalist Gypsy Carns. Unfortunately, due to managerial differences, Virginia did not appear on the record. She however, was a major part of the Smashers sound and vibe. Taylor Rhodes joined the band for their debut release on Kat Family Records - 1981 - on keyboards and background vocals and Tony Newman on drums rounded out the band.
RIDE AWAY
This was my first solo record. Recorded in 1974 at Sound Shop Studios in Nashville, TN. with Neil Wilburn producing (Bob Dylan and others). Recorded on Square Records. Typical session cats on the rhythm section. I played all the guitars and my partner "Ellis Swede" played a haunting violin. The label ran out of money and only 3 tracks were ever mixed.

3. | Take Me Down To the River |
Gypsy 1974 - acoustic/violin vibe. This was Gypsy's first solo record. Recorded in Nashville, TN at the Sound Shop. Produced by Neil Wilburn on Square Records. So go back in time 45 years and enjoy.
NEW HOPE
Ernie Soyars - Bass and lead vocals
A raw Hard Rock Trio from the early 70's. Landed a deal with MGM Records and released "It's All Over Now" which climbed the Billboard Music Charts into the Top 40. The band traveled the southern tour routes opening for artists like "The 5 Man Electrical band".
The Tasmanians
Bud Blount managed this high powered '60's rock outfit. The Tasmainians have been credited with being the "pre-curser" to punk music. The band was lead by powerful vocalist Robbin Thompson and wild man guitarist/vocalist - Gypsy Carns (Mike). The band recorded 4 songs with 2 singles being released.
This balls to the wall '60's psychedelic band astounded audiences in Florida and surrounding states from 1965-68. The band was made up of:
Robbin Thompson (R.I.P.)- lead vocals and acoustic guitar; Gypsy "Mike" Carns - lead guitar, harmonica,& vocals; Woody Pollard (R.I.P) bass & background vocals; Craig Davis (R.I.P.)- keyboards; and Greg Brundt (R.I.P) on drums. The band opened for major recording artists touring the Florida circuit and were a phenomenon that the folks still discuss in that region of the USA. In recent years the premiere single by The Tasmanians "BABY" has sold for as much as $1300 with a fan in Spain. Listen to this fresh sound from 1967.
