Carns’ spiritual solo career began in 1994 in coffee houses in California. Although he has released secular music since 1966, he felt the Lord speaking to him at this time. After the Northridge earthquake of 1994, he left California, moved to Nashville, married his sweetheart Caroline (who brought him to the Lord) and began spreading the teachings of Christ through his music. Releases include “Beale Street Swing” and “Gospel Train Coming” both featured in Blues Revue Magazine; “The Watchman” inspired by his trip to Jerusalem; and “Elijah Returns” his most prophetic CD. His music has been featured on television networks including Netflix, PBS, The Biography Channel and The Travel Channel in multiple countries.

The Blues Preacher can also be seen five days a week on THE WORD podcast. Gypsy shares a Scripture verse and a short interpretation of its meaning. He also shares advice on how we can all concentrate on the messages of the Bible in our own daily lives.
